PEOPLE BEHIND THE PULL

Oxford County Junior Farmers, in collaboration with the Embro Truck and Tractor Pull Committee are the Power Behind the Pull. This group of volunteers put in countless hours to provide you with a great show while raising money for the Oxford community. Between the organizers and other volunteer groups, it takes close to 250 volunteers over 1200 hours to pull of this event!

The Junior Farmers are a group of youth ages 15 – 29 that through community betterment, networking and volunteering, work to build future leaders for rural communities. Not only do they coordinate the Embro Truck and Tractor Pull but they enjoy monthly social events, farm tours, province-wide sports and cultural competitions! Junior Farmers has had a long history in Oxford and in 2015 commemorated 100 years in Oxford County by planting trees in each region of the original Oxford clubs. Please take a tour to find them at: Centennial Park (Town), Curries Park, Drumbo Fairgrounds, Embro Parkette, Grace Patterson Park (Thamesford), Hickson Park, Innerkip Arboretum, Norwich Museum, the Woodstock OMAFRA office, Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show, Salford Community Center.
